Introduction
研華新款PCM-5825是一款3.5"單板電腦，板載586級(jí)NS GX1-300處理器，其他功能包括VGA/LCD、音頻、CompactFlash卡接口及10/100Mbps以太網(wǎng)。但多2個(gè)串口資源，該產(chǎn)品其他功能均與PCM-5820相同。由于586級(jí)NS GX1-300處理器直接集成在主板上，系統(tǒng)工程師可使用本產(chǎn)品將其486級(jí)系統(tǒng)輕松升級(jí)到586級(jí)系統(tǒng)。由于無(wú)須為不同等級(jí)CPU設(shè)置頻率或電壓跳線，CPU直接板載可簡(jiǎn)化配置和安裝過(guò)程。除此之外，NS GX1-300 CPU經(jīng)特別設(shè)計(jì)，可無(wú)風(fēng)扇工作于60℃ (1400F)環(huán)境下。

Advantech's new PCM-5825 is a 3.5" SBC with an on-board, embedded 586-class NS GX1-300 processor. Other on-board features include VGA/LCD, Audio, a Compact Flash Card socket, and 10/100 Mbps Ethernet. This board is the same as PCM-5820, but with two additional serial ports.
With this board, system engineers will now be able to upgrade their 486-based systems to 586-level without as many addi-tional worries, partially because a 586-level NS GX1-300 pro-cessor is mounted directly on board. Mounting CPUs directly on board eases the configuration and installation process because there is no need to set any jumpers for speed or volt-age differences between various CPUs. In addition to this ease of configuration, this CPU has been specially designed to work well in environments with temperatures of up to 60°C (140°F) without need of a fan.
