          9.1 FUNZIONAMENTO MASTER /SLAVE
          Sempre nell’opzione High precision (dip7 = on) il motore
          può funzionare in due modi :
          MASTER DIP4≠ OFF, DIP5≠ OFF, DIP6≠ OFF
          SLAVE DIP4=DIP5=DIP6 = OFF (DIP1=ON)
          In modalita` MASTER il motore funziona autonomamente
          regolando la velocità in modo da garantire le curve
          programmate.
          In modalita` SLAVE il motore funziona controllato da un
          segnale di tensione sull’ingresso analogico e viene
          comandato da un motore in funzionamento MASTER.
          In modalita` SLAVE la combinazione DIP
          (DIP4=DIP5=DIP6 = OFF) è persa nel caso di
          programmazione DIP&GO e DIP & ON/OFF.
          Il collegamento tra un motore in modalita` MASTER e n
          motori in modalità SLAVE è mostrato in figura 9.
          9.1 MASTER /SLAVE OPERATION
          Always in High precision mode (dip7 = on) EMC works in
          two ways:
          MASTER DIP4≠ OFF, DIP5≠ OFF, DIP6≠ OFF
          SLAVE DIP4=DIP5=DIP6 = OFF (DIP1=ON)
          When MASTER mode is selected, motor works
          automatically regulating as per programmed curves.
          In case of SLAVE mode, motor works controlled by analog
          input signal from the MASTER motor.
          In SLAVE mode the combination DIP4=DIP5=DIP6 = OFF
          is lost in DIP&GO and DIP & ON/OFF working mode.
          Connection between a motor in MASTER mode and n
          motors in SLAVE mode is shown in figure 9.

          10.0 BILANCIATURA
          Il motore elettronico prevede l’opzione di bilanciatura .
          La bilanciatura si realizza facilmente come in figura 10,
          settando opportunamente i dip-switches per ottenere le
          due possibili velocità di bilanciatura (vedere sessione 8.1
          – Speed Control).
          Questa operazione viene eseguita durante la costruzione
          del ventilatore e non dovrà essere ripetuta se non da un
          operatore abilitato di Nicotra S.p.A.
          10.0 BALANCING
          The electronic motor has balancing option.
          Use figure 10 to connect the motor for balancing options,
          with the correct setting of dip-switches in order to obtain
          the correct balancing speed (see section 8.1 – Speed
          Control).
          This operation is done during the fan manufacturing and
          must not be altered without a technician from Nicotra
          S.p.A.
          11. ALLARMI
          Il motore elettronico ha disponibili come allarmi alcuni
          contatti optoisolati (morsetti n°3 e n°4). Il morsetto n°3
          (Filter) è un allarme che si attiva quando le perdite di
          carico superano un certo valore (espresso come valore di
          pressione o di portata), stabilito in fase di
          programmazione. Il morsetto n°4 (Alarm) viene attivato al
          verificarsi di diverse condizioni anomale di
          funzionamento, quali Undervoltage, Wattmax, Current
          Limit.
          L’uscita è di tipo open collector ed ha la seguente logica:
          ALLARME ON Morsetto n°3 o 4 / Morsetto n°8 -
          Aperto
          ALLARME OFF Morsetto n°3 o 4 / Morsetto n°8 -
          Chiuso
          Durante l’accensione l’allarme rimane attivo per 5 secondi
          per indicare una fase di inizializzazione elettronica.
          Lo schema di uscita è descritto in figura 11, mentre la
          tabella n°6 riassume la logica di funzionamento degli
          allarmi. (Il carico massimo è di 10 mA e la tensione di
          24Vdc).
          11. ALARMS
          Electronic motor has opto-insulated contacts available for
          alarms (terminals n°3 and n°4). Terminal n°3 (Filter) is
          used to show when the selected pressure/airflow parameter
          is reached: this value is charged during programmation.
          Terminal n°4 (Alarm) is used to indicate more fault
          conditions (Undervoltage, Wattmax, Current Limit).
          Alarm output is open collector type with following logic:
          ALARM ON Terminals n°3 or 4 / Terminal n°8 -
          open
          ALARM OFF Terminals n°3 or 4 / Terminal n°8 -
          closed
          During power-on phase, alarm remains on for 5 secs to
          indicate electronic start up.
          Figure 11 describes output stage while the table n°6 shows
          the alarm fault indicator logic. (Max load is 10 mA and 24
          Vdc).

          11.2 ESEMPI APPLICATIVI
          I possibili utilizzi dei segnali di allarme forniti dal
          motore elettronico sono molteplici e danno la possibilità
          di essere gestiti con “impieghi semplici” quali ad
          esempio l’attivazione di un relè che a sua volta potrà
          attivare delle segnalazioni luminose. Possono essere
          utilizzati anche in sistemi più complessi come ad
          esempio dei segnali in ingresso ad un PLC.
          In allegato vengono schematizzate le due possibilità
          sopra citate (figura 12 e 13).
          11.2 APPLICATION EXAMPLES
          The possible applications of the alarm signals supplied
          by the electronic motor are of various type and give the
          possibility to be managed in "simple applications" such
          as, for example, powering a rely that will turn on light
          signals. They may be used also in more complex systems
          such as, for example, in PLC input signals.
          The two above mentioned possibilities are shown in the
          sketches below (fig. 12 and 13).

          Gli allarmi, possono essere usati per poter monitorare più
          ventilatori collegati tra loro ed intervenire per risolvere
          problematiche legate al verificarsi di una condizione
          anomala (intervento del morsetto Alarm) o al
          raggiungimento del valore programmato di filtro
          (intervento del morsetto Filter).
          A questo scopo è possibile effettuare una connessione
          degli allarmi in serie, che evidenzierà una condizione di
          allarme anche se un solo motore è in condizione di
          allarme. La figura 14 ci mostra appunto come collegare
          tra loro i segnali di allarme di due o più motori in serie.
          The alarms may be used to control more fans in
          connection and to intervene and solve problems related to
          the occurrance of anomalous conditions (intervention of
          the Alarm terminal) or when the programmed filter value
          is achieved (intervention of the Filter terminal).
          With this aim, it is possible to connect the alarms in
          series, so that the alarm condition will be signalled even
          if only one motor is in alarm condition. Fig. 14 shows
          how to connect the alarm signals of two or more motors
          in series.

          Un ulteriore utilizzo degli allarmi, è quello di poter
          essere collegati in parallelo e di essere inviati come
          segnali digitali per un dispositivo PLC : collegando
          opportunamente come mostrato in figura 15, abbiamo in
          questo caso la possibilità di identificare quale degli n°
          ventilatori collegati in parallelo è in una condizione di
          allarme. Rispetto alla connessione allarmi in serie che
          offre la condizione di allarme quando uno degli n°
          ventilatori è in allarme, la connessione in parallelo ci
          permette di identificare con precisione su quale
          ventilatore poter effettuare dei controlli, o effettuare la
          manutenzione, per esempio per pulizia dei filtri.
          One further application of the alarms is to be connected
          in parallel and to be sent as digital signals for a PLC
          device: with a proper connection, as shown in Fig. 15,
          there is the possibility to identify which of the n° fans
          connected in parallel is in alarm condition. In comparison
          to the alarm connection in series, displaying the alarm
          condition when one of the n° fans is in alarm, the
          connection in parallel allows to identify precisely on
          which fan a control is required or to make a maintenance,
          for example, to clean the filters.
          L’esempio presentato schematizza come connettere in
          serie gli allarmi di sovraccarico : è chiaro che la stessa
          operazione può essere effettuata anche per collegare in
          serie i morsetti n°3 per la visualizzazione dell’allarme
          Filter.
          The example presented above shows how to connect the
          overload alarms in series: it is clear that the same
          operation can be made also to connect the n°3 terminals
          in series, in order to display the Filter alarm.

          Collegamenti non conformi alle specifiche e alle
          indicazioni fornite da Nicotra S.p.A. possono
          danneggiare l’inverter del motore in maniera irreversibile
          tale da rendere inutilizzabile il ventilatore se non
          ripristinando un nuovo motore o inverter. L’accertamento
          di danneggiamento dovuto ad operazioni non conformi,
          può portare al non riconoscimento della garanzia sul
          componente o sull’intero ventilatore.
          Connections not in conformity with the specifications
          and with the indications supplied by Nicotra S.p.A. may
          damage irreversibly the motor inverter, in such a way
          that the fan cannot be used any longer if the motor or the
          inverter are not replaced with new ones. If the damage is
          proved to be caused by operations not in conformity to
          what above mentioned, the warranty may not cover the
          replacement of the component or of the whole fan.
