PCL-741是一款帶有2個(gè)隔離RS-232或電流環(huán)串行端口的通訊卡。您可以使用卡上的跳線將其端口分別配置為RS-232或電流環(huán)。該卡使用了2個(gè)帶有16字節(jié)FIFO緩存的16C550UART芯片。UART能夠在將數(shù)據(jù)發(fā)送到總線之前將其緩沖處理為16字節(jié)的數(shù)據(jù)包，這樣能夠明顯減輕CPU的負(fù)載，避免系統(tǒng)忙或無法及時(shí)處理中斷時(shí)的數(shù)據(jù)丟失。FIFO緩存功能使PCL-741特別適合Windows下的高速串行I/O。
